On September 24, the 100MW Mamba Photovoltaic Power Station in Zambia constructed by Sinoma Energy Conservation successfully completed grid-connection commissioning and was officially put into power generation. The operation of this project effectively makes up for the shortage of local clean energy supply and injects new momentum into practical China-Zambia energy cooperation and regional green and low-carbon development.

This is Sinoma Energy Conservation’s second clean energy project delivered in Zambia. Following the “Zero External Power Green Energy Project for Industrial Park”, it marks another breakthrough in the company’s continuous exploration of Africa’s new energy market. As a key initiative for the enterprise to advance the Belt and Road green development and implement the Group’s internationalization strategy, the grid connection further consolidates the brand advantage of the company’s overseas green energy projects and demonstrates its commitment to facilitating global low-carbon transition.

During construction, Sinoma Energy Conservation adhered to the philosophy of precise construction and quality performance, and adopted full-process standardized management. Faced with typical challenges of overseas projects including cross-border logistics disruptions, complex geological conditions and difficulties in multi-party coordination, the project team carried out scientific planning and targeted tackling, achieving grid-connected power generation as scheduled. It fully proves the company’s solid engineering technology and overseas project delivery capacity.

Once operational, the power station will continuously supply clean electricity, diversify Zambia’s energy mix, ease local power shortages and fuel domestic economic growth. Meanwhile, the project will substantially cut carbon emissions and deliver economic, social and ecological benefits, providing solid green energy support for Zambia’s sustainable development. The successful grid connection validates Sinoma Energy Conservation’s comprehensive strength in overseas engineering, technical services and project management, laying a solid foundation for the long-term safe and stable operation of the power station.

Going forward, Sinoma Energy Conservation will continue to carry out operation & maintenance support and efficiency optimization to ensure long-term stable and high-efficiency power generation. Taking this project as an overseas benchmark, the company will further expand the global new energy market. Leveraging its strengths in technology, management and resources, it will deepen its presence in overseas green infrastructure, build more high-quality overseas landmark projects and contribute to the green and low-carbon transition of global energy.
